Kenneth Ussery, age 73 of Murfreesboro, concluded a near eleven year fight against metastatic prostate cancer. Born in Hazlehurst Georgia, he is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jean McKinnon Ussery; a son, Michael Ussery and his wife Shannon of Murfreesboro; daughter, Kimberly Howe of Knoxville; a brother, Wayne Ussery of Hazlehurst, GA, and four grandchildren, Carson and Caitlyn Ussery and Garrett and Samantha Howe.

Mr. Ussery and family resided in West Tennessee for over 30 years where he was a plant manager for Kohler Co/Sterling Plumbing group in Union City before retiring in 2000. He was a member of Pleasant Valley United Methodist church and a board member of the Tennessee State Board of Industrial Development. Ken was also a member of the Union City Rotary club and an active member of the community. Ken and his wife relocated to Murfreesboro in 2009 where they became members of St. Mark's United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be 11:00 am Saturday until the time of funeral services beginning at 1:00pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, Murfreesboro with Dr. Jim Clardy officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

The family requests memorials be made in honor of Ken to the American Cancer Society Mid-South Division, 2000 Charlotte Ave, Nashville, Tennessee 37203. An online guestbook is available for Mr. Ussery at www.woodfinchapel.com
