William Lewis Bass, age 71, passed away Jan. 23, 2015, in San Diego. Bill was born June 10, 1943, in Henderson, Nev., to William Bass and Lenore Krummel Bass.
Bill’s grandfather was Capt. William Wallace Bass, who blazed the first trails into the Grand Canyon. His mother and father were part of Wickenburg history as an accomplished photographer and former owners of La Siesta Motel and Kelly’s Café.
Bill has been disabled all his life and has lived in a care home in San Diego for years.
He is survived by his cousins Rodney and Joann Rasmussen and Carla and Charles Stedwell. Graveside services will be held in the first week of February with the date to be announced.
