Ann Cassala Battuello, age 91, entered into eternal life Saturday, May 6, 2006. Born in Albany, she was a communicant of the Church of the Holy Cross. Ann was a waitress for many years at the Italian-American Community Center. Daughter of the late Vincent and Louise Maiello Cassala. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Battuello; loving mother of Patrick P. Battuello and his wife Deborah Basso M.D. of Loudonville; mother-in-law of Theresa Vatrano (Tony Tulio); sister of the late Caroline (Lil) Sagliocca; cherished grandmother of Lisa Yakel (John), Patrick J. Battuello (Kathleen), Todd F. Battuello (Kari), Vincent J. Battuello (Kelly Dennin, M.D.), and Anthony M. Battuello (Darcy Stack); proud great-grandmother of Jessica, Ashley and Zachery Yakel, Courtney, Tyler, Noah and Sophia Battuello; aunt of Jerry M. Sagliocca and Carol A. Crowley. Also survived by several other nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Funeral services will be held in the Lasak & Gigliotti Funeral Home, 8 Dudley Heights (Northern Blvd.), Albany, Tuesday morning at 8:30 and 9:00 o'clock at the Church of the Holy Cross. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may also call at the funeral home Monday 3 to 7 p.m. Entombment will be in St. Agnes Mausoleum, Menands.
