Funeral services were held at St. James Catholic Church in Sherwood Wednesday, for John E. Zeltinger, 61, Sherwood farmer, who died Sunday in the Kenmare hospital, 45 minutes after he had been admitted. Death was from a heart condition.

Rev. Raymond Aydt officiated and pallbearers were Carl Johnson, Lester Smith, Kenneth Bluel, Leo Volk, Delbert Zeltinger and Frank Zeltinger Jr.

Mr. Zeltinger was born April 25, 1904, at Tolley, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ignatius Zeltinger. As a young man he worked in oil fields in Montana and on March 21, 1941, married Agnes Volk at Mohall. They lived in Montana until settling on a farm in Prosperity Township, near Sherwood, in 1946.

He was a member of St. James Catholic church.

Surviving are his wife; six daughters, Mrs. Dennis (RaeJeanne) Wink, Sherwood, and Loretta, Donna, Janice, Linda and Nancy, all at home; two sons, David and Timothy at home; one grandson; five sisters, Mrs. Clem (Lena) Resch and Louise Zeltinger, both of Tolley, Mrs. Lee (Clara) Ahmann, Foxholm, Mrs. Lloyd (Anne) Rowe, Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. Frank (Loretta) Rabuse, Mankato, Minn.; and a brother, Frank of Kenmare.

His parents, a son Raymond and three brothers precede him in death.
