Obituary:

Leah Loween Hauk, 93, of Osgood passed away Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Manderley Healthcare in Osgood.
Born July 17, 1917 in Gowdy, Indiana, she was the daughter of Frank and Thresa (Headlee) McColley. She married George Fredrick "Fred" Hauk Sr. on June 10, 1942, and he preceded her in death on January 30, 1975.

Survivors include daughters, Eileen Miller, Leah (husband, Miley) Denney and Nancy (husband, Timothy "Tom") Higgins, all of Shelbyville, Rachel Rogers of Winter Haven, Florida and Patti Skaggs of Osgood; sister, Marjorie Farlow of Waldron; daughter-in-law, Jamie S. Hauk of Bethany, West Virginia; 25 grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Georgia Worland and Freida Loween Hauk; son, George "Fred" Hauk, Jr.; three brothers and one grandson.

Mrs. Hauk was a homemaker.

She enjoyed sewing, reading and caring for her rose bushes.

Mrs. Hauk graduated from Manilla High School.

Visitation will be from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 pm at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
