Richard “Dick” Neslen passed away peacefully surrounded by family December 2, 2014. Dick will be most remembered for his love of his family and friends, his smile, sparkling eyes, and his love of the Lord. Born in SLC, UT to Clarence & Leone Neslen, Dick grew up on the Avenues with three great siblings Bud, Roger and Betsy. He graduated from East High School & the University of Utah in History & was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He spent 2.5 yrs in Germany serving a mission.

Dick married the love of his life Mickie James in 1965. Dick graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in law & practiced at Kirton McConkie for 34 years. Dick was a member of the SLC Lions Club & served as president. He was involved with scouting and received the Silver Beaver Award. He served in many church callings & was bishop of the Holiday 15th & Olympus 5th wards.

He is survived by his wife Michal “Mickie” & 5 children: Rebecca Johnson (Erik), David (Jennifer) , Stephen (Marni), Jenny McArthur (Chad), & Amy Ennis (Nick). He will be dearly missed by his grandchildren: Meg, Sam, Kate, Alice, Tess, Luke, Josh, Grace, Leah, Tyson, Paige, Aydan, & Olivia and his dog Sassy.

Funeral services will be held Saturday December 6th, 2014 11 am at 3070 E. Nila Way (4140 S), SLC, Ut.

Viewings to be held: Friday December 5th, 2014 from 6-8pm at Larkin Mortuary 300 E South Temple, SLC, Ut. There will also be a viewing prior to the funeral from 9:30-10:45 at the chapel.
