She was born April 20, 1920 in Wheeling a daughter of the late Edmund and Laura (Porter) Mayer.
Lucille retired as secretary for Westbrooke Elementary School, Bridgeport School District. She was a member of Way Memorial Spiritualist Church of Wheeling Island and Colerain Senior Citizens Center.
In addition to her parents Lucille was preceded in death by her first husband, Lawrence Gasaway, her second husband, Bud Cubbin, her third husband, Grover Smith, Jr., brothers; Charles, Edmund, Alvin, Ray and William, sisters: Dorothy, Rhea, Annabelle and Betty.
