Wilmer, Mary Boyle, 87 years, died March 23, 1930, after a brief illness at her home on Division Street, East Troy, last Sunday morning at 7:30 o'clock. Although she had been in failing health on account of her advanced years she bore up bravely, but several days prior to her demise she suffered considerably. Mary Wilmer was a native of Scotland, being born at Dalbeattie on May 5, 1842, to John and Mary (Lennon) Boyle. Six years later she came to this country with her parents, who located at Cohves, New York, where they resided until 1861, when they moved to Wisconsin and settled on a farm one mile north of East Troy. Mary Boyle was united in marriage to Augustus Wilmer at East Troy in 1868 and they lived here until Mr. Wilmer's death, several years ago. Two children were born to them, Charles Wilmer and Mary Wilmer O'Leary, both of whom preceded their mother in death. The deceased has lived with her sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Boyle Wilmer, for the past 20 years. Besides the above sister she is survived by three grand-children, Mary and Genevieve O'Leary and Charlotte Wilmer, besides a host of distant relatives, who with many friends join in extending sympathy to the bereaved. Mary was well liked by everyone, words fail us to pen a fitting eulogy for this noble women. She was always bright and cheerful, having a hearty welcome for all. Her generosity knew no bounds, and she was ever ready to lend a helping hand in time of need. Of her it can be truly said that she lived a noble life, and she will be sadly missed by sorrowing relatives and friends. The funeral took place at St. Peters Catholic Church, the Rev. J. P. Ritger conducting the services, and the body was laid at rest in the family burial lot at St. Peter's Cemetery, East Troy, Wisconsin.
