Mr. Weeks was born October 20, 1927, in Diboll, Texas to Hayden Weeks and Ruth Wilma (Hall) Weeks Barron and died Wednesday, February 4, 2015.
Mr. Weeks had resided in Lufkin for most of his life. He had worked for B.F. Goodrich and Pineywoods Tire. He enjoyed wood working, feeding squirrels and birds, gardening and joking with people. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in Japan. He was an active member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.
Survivors include sons, Richard Weeks and wife, Vikki of Diboll, Charles Riddle of Lufkin, Allan Riddle and wife Kim of Lufkin, Claude Riddle of Lufkin and Frank Riddle of Lovelady; daughters, Theresa Fulton and husband Mike of Hudson, Debbie Williams and husband Larry of Mer Rouge, Louisiana, and Mona Havard and husband Jason of Lufkin; 24 grandchildren including Shonya Lynn, Richard Weeks, II, Christopher Weeks, Justin Weeks, Heather Weeks Harley, K.C. Riddle, Monica Riddle Hardy, Kara Carter, Corie Riddle, Corrie Weeks Smith, April Rodriguez, Christopher McGowen, Joshua McGowen, Chris Williams, Timothy Williams, Joseph Norman, Louis Norman, Shane Norman, Kuntrina Hopson, Sebrina Wilson, Gracie Weeks, Daniel Harkins, Morgan Harvard and Chase Havard; numerous great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson, Porter Weeks; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Butler.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Shirley Ann Weeks; son, Morris Weeks; daughter-in-law, Kathi Riddle; step-granddaughter, Renee Williams; great-great-granddaughter, Emma Weeks; great-great-grandson, Curtis Weeks; and a brother, Jack Weeks.
