Mrs. Gillette was a resident of the Home for the Friendless (now known as the Bristol Home), 1500 Main Street, Buffalo NY. She was listed in February 1951 as a resident of the home, in their quarterly publication, "Our Record". Mrs. Catherine Gillette entered the Home on January 21, 1942.

Mrs. Gillette was born in Ireland to Richard Fanning and Anna Macking. She died at Buffalo State Hospital, 400 Forest Ave. She was 82 years, 11 months, 14 days and she was a widow.

In Memoriam: Mrs. Catherine Gillette passed away Dec. 9, 1957 at the age of 85. She was a resident of the Home for 15 years. Her funeral was held at the Brady Funeral Home on Dec. 11th. Rev. Dean Rehdon of Asbury Methodist church officiated, and burial was at our Home Lot in Forest Lawn.
