Carol Coffman, 83, Elliott Manor, died Saturday morning, June 4, at Lakeland Nursing Center. She was born in Richland Township, Steuben County to William C. and Esther Hake Brandeberry.

Surviving are three sons, Jack Eyster , Albuquerque, N.M., William O. Eyster, Angola and James P. Eyster, Crystal River, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She graduated from Tri-State College in 1925 and was a schoolteacher in Grundy, Va., Williams County,Ohio and the Metz and Scott school districts in Steuben County. She was a homebound teacher until 1965.

She was a member of the Angola Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 78, Metz Christian Church, where she was a continuous member since 1914, Sargarlia Club of Retired Teachers, in which she was the last living charter member and the Steuben County Retired Teachers Association.

Her husband, Lloyd, died Oct 30, 1963. A brother, Leon Brandeberry, also preceded her in death.
