Mirjana Puhar was born on July 27, 1995, in Belgrade, Serbia. She and her family moved to the United States in 1999 to escape the Kosovo War, eventually settling down in North Carolina. She began modeling at age 12, appearing in fashion shows in Charlotte, NC. She dropped out of high school at 16 to focus on her modeling career, eventually appearing as a contestant on Cycle 21 of America's Next Top Model, where she was eliminated in the tenth episode of the competition. On February 24, 2015, Mirjana was found murdered in a triple homicide at her boyfriend's apartment in Charlotte. Her boyfriend, Jonathan Alvarado, and his roommate, Jusmar Isiah Gonzaga-Garcia, were also killed. A 19-year-old man was charged for the murders.
