BROTHERS, FLORRIE LAMBERT, age 78, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2001, at a local nursing facility. She was born August 3, 1922 in Bessemer, Alabama, the daughter of the late Neal and Florence Letson Lambert. Mrs. Brothers was a resident of the area from 1954-1962 while her husband was stationed at Eglin AFB. She was active in the Eglin Officers Wives Club and enjoyed golf and bowling. The Brothers returned to the area in 1988.

Mrs. Brothers is survived by her husband of sixty years, Orville C. Brothers; daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Buddy Smith of Mary Esther; son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Sita Brothers of Lone Oak, Texas; former daughter-in-law, Carol D. Brothers of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Frank Parsons of Bessemer, Alabama; sister-in-law and husband, Vicky and Melvin Boatner of Greensboro, North Carolina; grandchildren, Rob (Deidre) Smith, Jamie (Jennifer) Smith, Kristy (Scott) Harkins, Doug (Andrea) Brothers, Steve Brothers, David (Amy) Brothers; great grandchildren, Shelby and Jordan Harkins, Hunter and Logan Smith, Tanner Smith, Jeremy and Korben Brothers, Haley Brothers; nieces, Pam Little, Sandra Pearce, Susan Morris, Sharon Hall; and nephew, Rusty Parsons.

A private family service will be held Friday, followed by burial at Beal Memorial Cemetery. McLaughlin Funeral Home of Ft. Walton Beach is in charge of arrangements.
