Benjamin J. Drinkwater, 76 of 4207 Englewood Ave., Yakima, died Saturday in Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Drinkwater was born October. 24 1907 in Hyde Park, Mass., the son of Edgar and Winifred Drinkwater. He married Mary Walk on Oct. 31, 1942 in Yakima.
He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He owned and operated Ben J. Drinkwater Plumbing and Heating Co. He also was city plumbing inspector from 1963 until his retirement in 1973.
He was a lifetime member of the Elks, an avid reader and loved to play the piano and organ.
Memorial services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Keith & Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel by Father Richard J. Queen, pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. The family suggests, if desired, memorials may be given to the Heart Association.
