Funeral services for Alex Olson, 81, who lived the past 40 years in the Town of Birnamwood, Shawano County, and who died at a Wausau hospital yesterday morning at 9:15 o'clock after a brief illness and a day's hospitalization, will be held tomorrow at 2 o'clock in the Kopitzke Funeral Home at Birnamwood. The Rev. Richard C. Schroeder, Lutheran pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Forest Cemetery at Birnamwood. The body will be at the funeral home this evening at 7 o'clock.
Mr. Olson was born Oct. 20, 1877, in Wittenberg. Mr. Olson was a retired farmer. Surviving is the widow, who is ill at home; a son, Edwin Olson, Alexandria, Va., and a stepson, Wallace Dent, Iron River, Mich.
