Mrs. Alice Davis
Mrs. Alice A. Davis, 84, of 161 Brad St., wife of Benjamin Davis, died at 2 p.m. Tuesday (Feb. 6, 1962) at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. Lee Bull, 128 Brad St.
She was born July 29, 1877 in McGraw, Pa., a daughter of Jesse and Pollyann Boardman Ayling. Mrs. Davis was a Jamestown resident for 35 years.
Besides her husband and daughter, Mrs. Bull, she is survived by one other daughter, Mrs. Jean Warren, Falconer; two step-sons, Fred Davis, Jamestown and Jay Davis, Galveston, Tex.; six grandchildren, Charles Bull, Kennedy, Mrs. Beulah Anderson, Donald, Ernest and Donald Bull, all of Jamestown and Mrs. Leona Olson, Vukote; twelve great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; two brothers, Andrew and Charles Ayling, Bartlesville, Okla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are to be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in Powers Funeral Home. Rev. George H. Tolley, of the First Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home.
