Carol Vandeventer, 89, of Bloomfield, passed away at 6:57 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2005 at Glenburn Home in Linton.
Born Jan. 23, 1916, she was the daughter of Otis and Alice Price. She had been married to Richard M. Vandeventer, who passed away Oct. 21, 1997.
She was a homemaker, worked for the Highland Township trustee, and worked on many election boards. She was a member of Farmers Wife's Club and the Worthington Study Club.
Survivors include: one daughter Sidney Price of Indianapolis; two sons, Arkie Vandeventer of Worthington, and Larry Vandeventer of Plainfield; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard M. Vandeventer, one brother and one sister.
Graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at Calvertville Cemetery with the Rev. Mel Camp officiating.
