In 1836, Mr. [William Pitt] Earle was united in marriage to Elizabeth Pinney, who was b. Dec. 15.1817 and d. in 1908, surviving her husband by 24 years. She resided at No. 12 East 57th St, New York City.

Elizabeth Pinney was the daughter of Judge Benjamin Pinney of Ellington, Conn., a veteran of the War of 1812, and his wife, Susannah KcKinney, who was born in 1780. Judge Pinney was the son of Lieutenant Eleaner Pinney of the Revolutionary Army and Eunice King, daughter of Joseph King and Eunice Seymour.
