Alice Vance Manchester, retired Missouri national guard officer, died at 4 o'clock this afternoon at her home here, following a five weeks illness. She was married to Colonel Manchester in March 1940. They made their home in Joplin until last March, and since then had lived here.
Surviving besides her husband are two daughters, Mrs. S.J. Douthitt and Mrs. George Flowers; a son, Robert McReynolds; a sister, Mrs. Ruby Bowden, and two brothers, W.E. Anderson, and Frank Teel.
Burial Saturday afternoon at the Niemeyer funeral home in Pierce City, with burial in the Pierce City cemetery.
