Served as a manager for various companies throughout his life, was a United States Army Veteran, and was of the Presbyterian faith.
Also preceded in death by his brother, Carl G Kinder (1929–1996).
Survived by his loving wife, Jo Anne (Blalock) Kinder; daughters, Belinda Kinder Minnich (David) and Julie Kinder Sanders (Vernon), one granddaughter; and a special friend, Lisa Thompson
