Tressie Cleo Green, age 96 of Canton, MO, formerly of Kirksville, MO, passed away on Sunday (October 12, 1997) at the Lewis County Nursing Home.
Born on June 7, 1901 near Queen City, MO, she was the daughter of John L. and Leona (Green) Miller. On April 17, 1934 she was married to James H. Green who preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; three brothers and five sisters.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Tressie was a member of the Coffee Christian Church, near Downing, MO. She moved to Canton in 1946, where she worked as a restaurant cook until her retirement. While living in Canton, she made many friends.
A Graveside service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday (October 14, 1997) at the Gibbs Union Cemetery in Gibbs, MO, with Brother Terriel Davison, her great-nephew, officiating.
