Sedgwick Camp, No. 10, G. A. R., has a membership of twelve, as follows: R. K. Farnsworth, George Irwin, D. F. Phelan, Jas. Brashear, J. W. Boulden, E. E. Tefft, S. A. Cummings, Jas. Wright, Andrew Drake, Aleck Cameron and John W. Nellis. Of this number but one was present and marching in the procession-Geo. Irwin, Of the above list J. W. Boulden, R. K. Farnsworth and Jas. Brashear are at the Soldiers' Home at Santa Monica, Cal. Ten Soldiers are buried in the local cemetery: Samuel Ball, J. C. Hoyle [sic, Albert C. Hoiles], J. W. Taber, E. Friend, J. E. Farnsworth, M. According to Probate No. 14 filed in Coconino County in 1896 (Family Search 007691642 Img 792) by Mary A. Friend, Ellis died July 28, 1895, in Williams, Coconino County, AZ. Mary was 41 years old. Ellis' children were Walter Scott 14 years, William Franklin 9 years, and Eugene 4 years.

Mary J. [A?] Firend (sic, Friend), age 46 years, was enumerated June 1, 1900, at Williams, Coconino, Arizona Territory, with Walter S. Friend, 18 Son, Willie W. Friend 13 Son, Eugene Friend 8 Son.

According to Guardianship No. 208 filed in Coconino County in 1908 (Family Search 007691649 Img 418), Ellis died July 28, 1895, leaving his wife Mary and children Walter Scott, William Franklin, and Eugene a minor. Mary remarried (Lewis McNeil) and requested J. E. Jones to take a guardianship role for Eugene who was living in Modesto, California.
