Pauline McPeake-Hayes was raised in the Rock Hill Community in Henderson County.

She Married Charles Finley Hayes (Beacon Community) on January 18th in 1936 and together they raised four sons.

She raised her children, worked on the farm, and worked in the garment factory to support her family.

She was an active member of the O.E.S. for many years (50+ years) and enjoyed her friends there. She was also a Past Matron and a member of the Past Matrons Club.

Family was very important to her and she to them.

She is missed.

---------------------
Mrs. Hayes' four sons would leave home one-by-one. Starting in 1955. Her first son left home when he was 18. He eventually ended up in Germany & is still there to date (3/8/2017). Her second son went off to college and became an educator. He lived most of his life in Anderson County in east Tennessee. Sadly we lost him to Parkinson's Disease in October 2015. Her third son also went off to college and earned a PhD in Agriculture. He lived in KY for some time, but he moved his family back to Madison County in the late 1970's/early 1980's. Her youngest son never went far from home. He married and move just a mile or less down the road. Although he worked on the road through the week some of the time, he always called Beacon home as long as she was alive. Eventually He would build a house on the family farm in 1981 and raise his family there.
