Son of Hosea Paul and Dorcas Alcott who were married on the 30th June 1803 at St. Nicolas' Church, Nuneaton, Warwickshire.

He was baptized on the 11th July 1817 at Holy Trinity Church, Attleborough, Nuneaton, Warwickshire.

Ezra married Ann Alcott on the 13th March 1844 at St. Nicolas' Church, Nuneaton, Warwickshire.

Ezra was a carpenter and joiner. He lived all his life in Attleborough, Nuneaton, first with his parents, and then with his wife Ann, and their children. He was widowed in 1866.

On Wednesday, April the 6th, an old Attleborough resident in the person of Ezra Paul, of Kem Street, passed away at the advanced age of eighty six. Thus another link in the chain which binds the present with the past has been severed.
