Anna Temple was born in Levan Township, Jackson County, Illinois on August 2, 1866. She was a housekeeper and died at the age of 53 in October 26, 1919, in the city of Murphysboro in Jackson County, Illinois. She was buried in the Ripley Cemetery on October 29, 1919.

Mrs. Phillip Temple, of this city, died at St. Andrew's Hospital last night at Murphysboro following an operation for tumor. She had been in the hospital a few days.

Mrs. Temple had resided in Carbondale for the last twenty years or more. She had been ill often and for the last few years, at times very serious. She is survived by a sister and a brother, a husband and three children, Helen, Jean and Lena.

The funeral will likely be held at Murphysboro at the home of a friend at that place. The funeral arrangements today are pending word from relatives in California.
