Cevilla Moler was the oldest child of William M and Clara A. Stingley Moler. Cevilla had been courted in Indiana by Solomon Hawk. Their families had lived near each other in Hardy county, Virginia. Solomon came for his bride, Cevilla in 1852. They returned to Indiana by wagon, stayed there one year, moved to Illinois for one year and then came back to Washington Township, Nodaway County, MO. They entered land on the east side of White Oak Grove in 1854 and never moved.
