She first married Jonas Andersson, born 6 Jul 1791, Hycklinge, Sweden and he died on 22 Oct 1831 in Locknevi, Sweden They had one daughter, Inga Christina Jonsdotter born 23 Feb 1830 in Hycklinge, Sweden.
She then married Carl Petter Andersson about 1833 in Odensvi, Kalmar, Sweden.
They had six children all born in Sweden. They are: Louisa Charlotte born March 3, 1835; Andrew Magnus born January 6, 1837; Carl Victor born October 5, 1840; Johan August born September 11, 1842; Maria Sophia born Oct 1 1845; Caroline Albertina born April 5, 1849.
Christina and her husband Carl Petter Andersson, along with her children left Sweden in 1852 and came to America settling in Henry County, Illinois. The family used the surname of Anderson.
In 1853 Stina Maria Anderson returned to Hycklinge, Sweden with the four youngest children after the loss of her husband. She returned to America and Henry County in 1861 with her youngest daughter Carolina Albertina Anderson. Here she remained the rest of her life.

Six children of A.M. and Betsy Anderson 3 of whom are dead.
Gravesite Details
"Stina" shares a headstone with her son and daughter-in-law, Andrew Magnus and Betsy (Wendell) Anderson. Their name is on one side of the stone and Stina's is on the opposite side of the stone. Andrew and Betsy's three children are buried close by.
