A graveside service for Doris Jolly Nolan, 86, will be held at Auburn Memorial Park Cemetery on Saturday, May 27, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Charles Cummings will officiate. Visitation will follow the service.
Mrs. Nolan died on Thursday, May 25, 2006 at Oak Park Nursing Home after an extended illness. She was born on January 4, 1920, in Anderson, South Carolina to the late Robert Henry and Ida Martin Jolly. She was married on October 25, 1941, to Billy C. Nolan in Anderson.
Mrs. Nolan lived in North Carolina and Atlanta, GA before moving to Auburn in August of 1992. She was retired from the Office of the U.S. Government, and was a member of Villiage Christian Church and the Joe McDavid Sunday School Class at Auburn United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Nolan is survived by her husband, Billy C. Nolan of Auburn, a son, Robert (Karen) Nolan of Morrisville, NC, a daughter Cathey (Jim) Donald of Auburn and a sister Lois Johnson of Anderson, South Carolina. She is also survived by three grandchildren: David (Jana) Nolan, Fort Worth, TX; Barbara Donald of Palos Verdes Estates, CA; and Nolan Donald of Mobile, AL, as well as two great-grandchildren, Connor and John Nolan of Fort Worth, TX, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Hospice of EAMC or charity of your choice. Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home is directing.
