Walter O. Abplanalp, age 72, of New Glarus, died Monday, June 29, 1987 at New Glarus Home. He was born on August 30, 1914 in Arena, WI, son of Andrew and Frieda Abplanalp. Mr. Abplanalp was married to the former Laura Waggon. He was a dairy farmer in the Arena are for many years and also a member of the Arena Congregational Church.

Survivors include his wife, Laura; son David (Amy) of Waukesha; daughter Diane, Spring Green; sister Mrs. Olga (Harold) Blumke, Verona; brothers, Alex (Catherine) Abplanalp, Madison, Harold "Skip" (Rachel) Abplanalp, Mount Horeb and granddaughter Andrea Abplanalp, Spring Green.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Alfred and Adolph; sisters, Ida, Rose Andregg, and Hulda Erb.
