BELTREES
Margaret Mary Bechtold, 80, died at 4:37 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012, at Willow Rose Nursing and Rehab in Jerseyville.
She was born on May 27, 1932, in St. Louis, the daughter of the late Al and Catherine (Paschang) Grelle.
On July 11, 1953, she married Paul J. Bechtold. He died on Oct. 22, 2008.
Margaret was a homemaker and had worked at Whites Nursery. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Beltrees.
Survivors include three sons, Rich and Linda Bechtold of Jerseyville, Don and Bobbi Bechtold of Godfrey and Denny and Rhonda Bechtold of Jerseyville; one daughter, Karen and Mark Madson of Grafton; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Catherine and Raymond Chapman of Bunker Hill and Mildred Grelle of Alton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister, Dorothy Hans.
A private visitation was held from 8 to 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 27, at Alexander and Gubser Funeral Home in Jerseyville.
Private funeral Mass was held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 27, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Beltrees. Father Urban Figge O.M.I. officiated.
Burial was in St. Michael's Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery in Beltrees.
