Henry C Biggs died Monday afternoon at 3:30 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. James Townsend at 222 South Sycamore street in this city after a protracted illness due to old age. The funeral services will be held tomorrow (Wednesday) from the Christan church at ten o'clock. Rev. Weimer officiating and the remains will be laid to rest in the Iola cemetery.

Mr. Biggs was born April 1, 1815, in Clark county, Indiana. He married while quite young and three daughters survive him. Mrs. Biggs died about forty years agao and for the past twelve years the old gentleman has made his home with Mr. and Mrs. James Townsend in Allen county, moving with them to Iola last October. Mrs. Martha Fudge, of Neosha Falls was to ill to be at his side when death came. Mrs. Townsend and husband and Mrs. Louisa Whisenand and husband of Ottawa, are here and cared for him to the last.

Mr Biggs owing to extreme feebleness never became extensively acquainted in Allen county, but those who knew him were his warm friends and his daughters have the sincere sympathy of their many friends in his death.
