Jean is the son of Jean-Antoine Belliveau and Jeanne Bourg. He was born in about *1674. He married Madeleine Melanson in 1696, in Port-Royal, Acadie. They are the parents of the following:
1) Charles (1697-1758) md Marguerite Granger
2) Jean (1699-) md Madeleine Gaudet
3) Marie-Madeleine (1703-) md Francois Landry
4) Pierre (1706-) md Jeanne Gaudet

He is the brother of Marie-Madeleine Belliveau. He is the grandson of Antoine Bourg and Antoinette Landry.

Per his burial record, Jean died from a wound received in the battle against the English.

2) 1698 census - he was 24 years old (abt 1674)
3) 1701 census - he was 27 years old (abt 1674)

According to "Dictionnaire généalogique des familles acadiennes", p. 97, 99-100 by Stephen A. White, he was born in 1674, which is probably derived by the above census records.
