Everett F. Johnson, 77, of Sycamore, died Friday, June 21, 1996 at his home He was born September 28, 1918 in Sycamore, the son of Carl J. and Bertha (Loptien) Johnson. He married Ina M. Loose in August of 1962 in Sycamore.

Everett was a graduate of the Sycamore High School, Class of 1936. He farmed in the Sycamore area his entire life.

He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in DeKalb and the DeKalb County Farm Bureau. He was the Cortland Township auditor for 21 years.

He is survived by his wife of Sycamore; two sons, Denton (Janet) Johnson of Sycamore and Adonis Johnson of Arkansas; one daughter, Donna Johnson of Chicago; two step-daughters, Barbara (Roger) Cochran of Quincy, Ill., and Nancy (Steve) Poe of Birmingham, Ala.; 12 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Howard L. Johnson.

Funeral services will be Monday, June 24 at 11 a.m. at the Butala Funeral Home of Sycamore with Rev. E. George Krause officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorial for Everett Johnson are for the Immanuel Lutheran Radio Ministry Fund.
