William was the sixth of eight children born to Joseph William and Bessie Mae (Bennett) Moose. He married Peggy Jean Stewart and they had four children: John Wright, Danny Wright, Tony Wright and Joann.

HUNTERSVILLE — William Andrew Moose, 76, of Huntersville, died March 8, 2004, at home.
He was a native of Iredell County, son of the late Joseph William and Bessie Mae Bennett Moose.
FUNERAL: 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Carothers Funeral Home, Mount Holly
BURIAL: Hillcrest Gardens
VISITATION: 7-9 tonight, funeral home
He was retired from the United States Air Force after 25 years of service, a lifetime member of DAV, VFW and American Legion. He will be remembered for saying, "there ain't no fish in that mud hole."
SURVIVORS: Sons, John Wright of Easley, S.C., Danny Wright of Winston-Salem, N.C. and Tony Wright of Kings Mountain; brother, Dewey H. Moose Sr.; sister, Pauline Moose Bost; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: His wife, Peggy Jean Stewart Moose; daughter, Joann Rumfelt; brothers and sisters, Gertrude Moose Dishman, Thomas Wilson Moose, Violet Moose Vogler, Maxine Moose and Joe Moose
