Frances Ellington Boyd, 89, of Reidsville, NC went to be with the Lord Wednesday April 1, 2015 at the Hospice Home of Rockingham County.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday April 4, 2015 in Citty Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
A native of Rockingham County, she was a daughter of the late John T. Ellington, Sr. and the late Manassa Holt Ellington and had lived in Rockingham County her entire life. A career bookkeeper she had previously worked at Eggelston Oil Co., Hudson and Lester Hardware, Fleet Plumber Hardware in Greensboro, and Southern Automotive. Most recently she was the bookkeeper for Boyd’s Appliance. A member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, she was preceded in death by her husband Luther E. Boyd, Sr., and brothers: John T. Ellington, Jr. and William “Billy” Ellington.
Survivors include: sons: Luther E. Boyd, Jr. of Reidsville, John R. “Johnny” Boyd and wife Dixie Anne of Reidsville, grandchildren: Matthew Graham Boyd and Magdalene Marie Boyd, her dearest friend: Liane Jamoulis and Liane’s children Kimberly Johnston and Nicholas Jamoulis .
The family will see friends 10:00 till 11:00 A.M. one hour before the service at Citty Funeral Home.
