Virginia Mason Adkins, 91, of Hazel Green passed away at her residence after a brief illness. She was a loving mother, grandmother and devoted friend to all she knew. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Adkins. Survivors include her children and their spouses, Gail and Leabert Carter, Kenneth and Pam Tallent Adkins, Douglas and Patsy Adkins, and David and Reba Adkins; grandchildren, Shane Adkins, Dan Adkins and Brandy Harrison; great-grandchild, Jim Adkins; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday with Rev. Jim Stringfellow officiating. Burial will follow in the State Line Cemetery.
