ILLIAM "BILLY" BASTIANELLI (d. 2006)

William (Billy) A. Bastianelli, age 47, a Manitowoc resident, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2006.

Billy was born Aug. 25, 1958, in Manitowoc, son of Henry Bastianelli and the late Lois Czekala Bastianelli. He graduated from Manitowoc Lincoln High School and received an associate's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Manitowoc in music and the arts. He previously worked for UW-Manitowoc, Mirro Company and other various jobs.

Billy was widely known for his musical talent and performed with various local bands. He also performed with the Lakeshore Wind Ensemble many times. His voice was one that delighted everyone who had the opportunity to hear him. He was talented with many different instruments and his singing was truly memorable. He loved to be with family and friends. His passions were his daughters, his music and drawing. He also loved to travel. One of his most enjoyable trips was to Manitowoc's Sister City, Kamogawa, Japan. Billy will be sadly missed by all of his family and friends.

Survivors include his father: Henry Bastianelli; his stepmother: Carol Bastianelli; two daughters: Adrienne and Alyssa Bastianelli; a sister and brother-in-law: Therese (Terri) and Terry P. Stout; his friend and mother of their two daughters: Judy DeGrand; a niece: Mandy Jo Stout; his aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his mother: Lois (Czekala) Bastianelli; and his grandparents: Albert and Alice (Kadow) Czekala and William and Josephine (Eutizi) Bastianelli.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall, Manitowoc, from 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2006, until the time of the memorial service at noon. A memorial service will be held at noon Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2006, at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Tom Wojciechowski O.F.M., with burial of his cremated remains at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc. The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
