Cecil H. Burton, 78, father of Lafayette and Boswell residents, died at 6:50 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 1, at Hoopeston Community Memorial Hospital.
He was born Feb. 14, 1918, in Nancy, Ky.
He married Geneva Prather on Feb. 20, 1942, in Somerset, Ky. She survives.
He was a crane operator at Harrison Steel in Attica for 21 years and retired in 1980.
He was a former member of the Moose Lodge in Hoopeston.
Also surviving are three sons; four daughters; three brothers; and four sisters.
