Obituary By: MACON - Katherine Ely Peebles, 76, of 2868 Dalton Street, went to be with her Lord on Friday, January 14, 2005. Funeral services will be held at 11A.M. Wednesday at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park. Rev. Reginald McCarn will officiate. The family will greet friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. -Mrs. Peebles was born in Soperton and had lived in Middle Georgia for most of her life. She was a homemaker and attended Bloomfield Church of God. She was the daughter of the late Henry D. and Lottie Jane McDaniel Ely and the widow of Newburn Leon Peebles. -Mrs. Peebles is survived by her children, Paulette and Tony Smith of Macon; Wayne Peebles of Macon, Kathy and Bill Van Dyke of Columbus, David and JoAnn Peebles of Macon; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brother, Ernest Ely of Macon. -Visit www.mem.com to express tributes. -Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue, has charge of arrangements.
