He had owned an upholstering business in St. Louis. The son of Sam and Nancy Braden Cox, he was born May 5, 1907.
He leaves sisters, Bessie Billow and Elsie Swalls; and brothers, Nelson and Rassie Cox.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at the Union Funeral Home. Burial will be in Herrin City Cemetery.
