Lydia Johns was born 15 December 1822 in Kentucky. Her parents were Jacob Johns & Rachel Batton. She had three sisters; Mary (married JW McIntosh), Hannah (married Willam Couch) & Rachel, and, two brothers; John Thomas & Jacob.
She married first Enoch James 13 March 1842 in Boone County, Indiana. They had one son; Jacob J. James, born in 1842. She married second Arthur Ambrose Thralls 13 July 1848 in Boone County, Indiana and they had six children; George Washington, Rachel Ann, John H., Arthur
Ambrose II, Sara Jane and Minnie B. The family moved to Page County, Iowa, in 1861 where Lydia died in 1882. She is buried in the Bradyville Cemetery.
