Paulina Burbank Merriman was the daughter of William Burbank & Angelica Baron. Wife of Charles Merriman. Mother of six. Her husband Charles died at the age of 42 in 1860 leaving her to head their farm in Nankin Twp MI. She did marry a second time to a man with the last name of Morey, and had a son, but Mr. Morey remains a mystery at this time. Her youngest child James was born in 1867, but Paulina is in the 1870 MI census as head of the farm. Older relatives have said she had a Native American name which sounded like "hoshanick baro". When she died her son Zachary, My great-grandfather inherited the family farm. She is buried with first husband Charles.
