Galena, Jo Daviess Co., ILl. - Aldro F. Birkett, 66, of 221 N. Main St., Galena, died Wednesday, March 25, 1987, at St. Joseph's Unit of Mercy Health Center, Dubuque.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Furlong Funeral Chapel, with burial in St. Michael's Cemetery, both in Galena. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel, where the wake service will be said at 8 p.m.

His wife, the former Mary Speaker, died May 13, 1965.

Surviving are a son, Steven of Galena; two daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Barbara) Pratt of Lena and Patricia Nicholls of Freeport; four grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Geraldine Swan of Dubuque and Mrs. Charlene Hocking of Canton, Ga.
