"Mrs. Fannie Eilert, 85 died at 4:45 p.m. Sunday at the Hall nursing home, Alton where she was taken from Community Memorial hospital a few days ago, following a stroke of paralysis.
Mrs. Eilert was born in Stauton May 27, 1865 and was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter L. Camp, pioneer residents of Staunton. Many years ago she was married to Chris Eilert. After Mr. Eilert's death about twenty years ago she went to San Francisco, Calif., where she resided until a year ago when she returned to Stauton.
She was a charter member of Staunton Chapter No. 616 Order of the Eastern Star.
Survived by one brother N. F. Camp of Staunton and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Carlton funeral home in Staunton. Rev. S. F. Platt, pastor of the Methodist church officiated. Burial was in Staunton city cemetery."
