Mrs. Nolan B. Birmingham,60, died yesterday evening in a local hospital after a short illness. She was well known in political circles as an astute behine-the-scenes worker. Mrs. Birmingham was a avid supporter of the Democratic Party and of Vice President Lyndon Johnson. She never held a political office.
A resident of Corpus Christi the past 24 years, she lived with her husband at 2526 Cleo Street. She had formerly lived in Wharton, where she moved with her family as a child. She was born in Winnipeg, Canada. She was a member of the Altar Society and the Rosary Circle at Christ the King Catholic Church.
Surviving besides her husband are two daughters, Mrs. B. J. Suggs and Mrs. Joe Moseley; five sons, Willie, John, Pete, and Joseph Hominick, all of Corpus Christi, and Simon Hominick of Houston; her mother Mrs. Frank J. Wisnieski; three sisters, Mrs. Silas Jacob, Mrs. Helen Fitzgerald, and Mrs. Rosie Stuntz; five brothers, Bruno, John, Joe, Frank, and Pete Wisnieski, all of Wharton; an uncle, Pete Marshall of Rosenberg, and 18 grandchildren.
