At Claverack, of the Small-Pox, on the 1st inst. to the inexpressible affection of his parents, Pierre de Peyster Van Rensselaer, in the 5th year of his age, the only child of Jacob Rutsen Van Rensselaer Esq. and Cornelia his wife. He had formerly been inoculated with the Small-Pox; and a confidence, apparently well founded, that the inoculation had succeeded, led to his fatal exposure to distemper in the natural way.
"Tis but a part we see, and not a whole."
"Each fills the circle mark'd by Heaven."
