Mocksville - Alice Davis Nail, 97, of Fairfield Road, died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2007, at her daughter's home.

Mrs. Nail was born Jan. 10, 1910, in Davie County, to the late William Absolom and Jennie Miller Davis. She was a member of the Concord United Methodist Church and had been employed by Fran Ray Rest Home in Mocksville and Erwin Mills in Cooleemee.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Franklin Nail, on July 14, 1996; brothers Charlie George, Joe, Ray, Paul and Hugh Davis; and sisters Nora Cartner, Mattie Campbell, Beulah Hood, Maude Goodman and Versa Campbell.

Survivors include a daughter, Mildred Nail Seamon of Mocksville, one granddaughter and one grandson of Mocksville; three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Concord United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
