Of the late Joseph Warren and Julia Clarke House; attended Gulf Park Prep School in Gulf Park, Mississippi before completing her senior year at The National Cathedral School in Washington, D.C; attended Finch Junior College in New York City before enrolling at George Washington University in Washington; after her schooling, she returned to Little Rock in 1938 and married James Daniel Simpson, Jr.; very active at her church, Trinity Episcopal Cathedral where she was a member since her childhood; a past member of the Little Rock Junior League, the Asthetic Club, Little Rock Garden Club and the Country Club of Little Rock; great-granddaughter of James P. Clarke, Senior Senator from Arkansas and President Pro-Tem of the United States Senate during the Presidency of Woodrow Wilson; survived by her husband James D. Simpson, Jr. of Little Rock, two sons , three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a first cousin, Mrs. Everett (Francis) Tucker.
