Helen Eleanor Jones Harris
December 9, 1927 - April 17, 2015

Helen Jones Harris of Spanish Fork, Utah passed away April 17th, from causes incident to age. She was born in Spanish Fork, Utah to David Hopkins Jones and Mary Elnora Nielsen Jones, and was a life-long resident of Spanish Fork, Utah.

Helen attended Brigham Young University where she received a bachelors degree in Elementary Education. Helen taught school for 22 years, where she influenced many students with her very real care for them. Students have routinely visited her decades after being in her classroom.

Also during her university time, she met Grant John Harris, and they were married in the LDS Manti Temple on July 21, 1950. They enjoyed over 62 years of marriage before Grant's passing away.

Helen was an active member of the LDS Church and held many positions within Church auxiliaries. Helen and Grant served an LDS mission together to Springfield, Illinois.

As a proud Spanish Fork resident, Helen routinely served in various civic positions, and was a member of the Vestalian Club for most of her adult life. She was also an avid genealogist.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents and five siblings.

She is survived by six children: Mary L. Henrie (Earl), Duane (Karen), Janette, Alan (Delores), David (Julie), Richard (Kari), a foster daughter, Caroline, 21 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren (3 more coming soon).

The family is grateful to the kind caregivers at Legacy House Assisted Living, and wonderful extended family, friends and neighbors of Grant and Helen.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, April 25th in the LDS chapel located at 1006 East 200 South in Spanish Fork, with a viewing from 9:45-10:45 AM.
