Mary K. (Sevy) Hooper, age 62, of Springfield, went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ at 9:55 a.m. Dec. 5, 2003, at Woodland Manor Nursing Home. Mary was born Sept. 30, 1941, in Springfield, Mo., to Henry Albert and Mildred Gertrude Sevy. She retired from K.A.C. as a school administration secretary. Mary was a member of National Heights Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Tom Hooper and wife Terri of Rogersville, and Tim Hooper and wife Patrice of Springfield; a grandson, Nicklause Hooper; her parents; a brother, Henry Pete Sevy, and a sister, Susie Cirillo, both of Springfield; four nieces, Amy and Krista Cirillo, Micki Stokes and Monica Bercich; and a host of family and friends. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home North. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the M.S. Society.
